New Job, New Adventure!

Life has looked a lot different the past few weeks. I’ve tried finding time to share some news, and never could find the words or time to set down and write this post. A little over a week ago, I started a new adventure, which means my entire family has been on this new ride with me, too. Since the day we got Destiny, I have been a full time stay at home mom to all of our kids. Since they’ve all been getting older and had started their Mother’s Day out program, I started college full time last fall and am now in my second semester. Somehow I even managed to make the Dean’s List last semester! I never thought I would go to college as a wife and mom of 4, but here I am. But a couple of weeks ago I added yet another full time title to my ever growing list. Medical receptionist.

God is good all the time, and when I started praying that God would send me the perfect job for me and family, he more than provided. On Valentine’s Day I had an interview, and that same Friday I started my new job as a full time medical receptionist for a local podiatrist office. It’s been the biggest blessing, and I can tell that God has put me right where he wants me at this point in our life. Praise the lord that the kids did not have to switch childcare facilities, we upped them to Monday-Friday but they are in such loving, Christian hands when they are not with Andy or I, and that gives me the most piece of mind that any mom could ask for. They love their school, and enjoy going, which makes me leaving for work everyday easy.

I said it when I started college, and it’s still fitting now too, I’ve always been the kind of person to challenge myself. So although balancing and managing is the name of the game, I’m fulfilling every aspect of my life, all thanks to the support of my amazing, terrific husband, Andy. Literally none of this would be possible without his help and encouragement, and for that I am forever grateful!

Women are powerful. The many hats we wear never ever quit evolving, but I pride myself on my adaptability. It’s a learning process for sure, and sure I am a lot more tired now than I used to be. But I’m working on my future, my goals, my career, my current self, all while helping to provide for my family.

So although I switch gears really fast and can go from being a full time medical receptionist to full time student to full time mom of 4 and full time wife, my focus is where it should be at that particular moment. My time management skills are developing further than I ever thought possible. My heart is SO full and my cup runneth over!

So, now you know where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing here lately! And why if you see me in scrubs, dozing off in class, grabbing a coffee midday, or eating on the go, you know why! Life’s a crazy journey, but when you’re surrounded by the people you love and your Faith is focused on His plans for your life, anything is possible with lots of hard work and dedication!
