Praying for Specifics!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're all having a great day so far! Though I haven't had much time this past week to sit down and write a post, it's been on my mind continuously. It seems like the past week I've been faced with daily challenges and then as I attempt to overcome them positively alone, I fail. But if I lean on God, I find my attitude shifts and I can instantly see the positive in whatever situation has risen. So as things kept coming up this week, I'd quickly think, YES..That would be a great topic for the blog! But you know what would happen after that? Doubt. I'd instantly start doubting that it would help anyone, or if anyone else had felt the same way. We all fight our own individual battles after all. Who was to say that the small nuggets of peace I was gaining would benefit another soul on this Earth? So, I'd push it back out of my mind, and get busy with life. Living your day to day and focusing solely on that is the easiest way to forget wha...

When You Feel Stuck

I wanted to write this post today because this past week I've been battling myself non-stop. It's been a mental battle, a physical battle, and an emotional battle. As I sat here this afternoon meditating in the quiet (Jonas's nap time is our family designated quiet activity time, do what you please, but do it quietly!) I felt a wave of comfort wash over me. I personally believe that every single thing we go through in this life, whether it's large or small, is meant to give us the tools and reference we need to help somebody else through something similar at some point. This has proved true again and again in my life. So today, I'm going to share my feelings from this past week and hope that maybe somebody, even if its just one single person, needs to hear it! After my last blog post to you guys last Sunday, life happened! Nothing abnormal, nothing dramatic, just every day life, happening EVERY day. All of our new schedules keep us SO much more occupied, apart, an...

Oh, Sweet Sunday!

Back to School! Hey there! It's been a few days since my last post, but with good reason! This past week has been insanely busy, stressful, and time consuming as a mom, wife, and student. In my last post the kids were heading back to Mother's Day Out and to Preschool the next day. Oh my goodness did that go GREAT! All 3 of them were ecstatic to go back, and momma was beyond happy to have a scheduled routine back in place! Seeing their faces that first morning set the tone for this year, I can tell it's easily going to exceed all of my expectations! It was a good feeling to have them be in school and me head to my class too, it felt like we'd been doing it that way forever even though it was the first time! 2nd Day of Pre-K! Thursday was a big day for us because it was the first day that Destiny headed off to preschool alone, meaning without her little brothers! Since she'll be going two extra days every week without them I know this will be an adjustment f...

Thankful Tuesday!

I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! We sure did! After weeks of running around every single day and making multiple trips out of town and back, it was honestly nice to not do anything much! We spent lots of time with our family and friends, eating food that's not the best for you, and I went on a completely random baking spree complete with banana pudding, peanut butter cookies, and brownies. Couch family nap times during the day and in bed movie dates with my hubby after the kids went to bed made for an overall relaxing long weekend! Now it's Tuesday and I'm preparing myself for what's to come the rest of this week. I titled this post "Thankful Tuesday" because that perfectly describes my emotions as I woke up this morning! Today's the last day before our lives turn from busy to overly busy! Tomorrow will be the first day "Back to School" for the 3 youngest kids. Destiny is going into a Preschool program for 4 days a week, ...

Fresh Beginnings!

I have to say, I'm so excited to say Hello to September! August was a long, busy, stressed month for our family, so to get to leave it in the past and start fresh today makes me smile! Now I know, I know, it's just a day on a calendar, right? But there's just something SO refreshing about flipping over Destiny's "Frozen" calendar every month and seeing 30 something clean, empty squares just waiting to be filled in with our activities and appointments. That's a fresh start to me! August was full of preparations, change, mini-crises, and time spent apart. I spent countless hours getting mine and the kids school stuff ready to go for this upcoming fall semester. Halfway through the month the brand new car we bought stranded us hours from home, only 2 weeks after buying it! We had both of our schedules lined out for my first week of college since the kids don't start their school until next week, only to find out Andy would be gone for that entire week. ...
